Hello, my name is Dr. Christian Bartsch

Experienced digitalization expert and innovation leader

With over 20 years of international experience, I am a passionate pioneer in digital transformation and process optimization. My expertise spans various industries, including mechanical engineering, chemicals, automotive and IT services.


Leadership experience and global perspective

As an experienced executive, I have worked in roles such as CDO, Founder/CEO, Digital Business Developer and R&D Manager. My projects have taken me to over two dozen countries on four continents, giving me a unique global perspective .


Digital (Business) Transformation and Innovation

My transformation approach is holistic and practice-oriented. I have successfully introduced new technologies such as IIoT, machine learning, smart glasses, and augmented reality hands-on to businesses. In addition, however, I established new organizational units, adapted existing business models and validated and introduced new business models. These innovations have not only increased internal efficiency, but also driven business growth.


Awards and achievements

Under my leadership as Global Vice President, KraussMaffei Technologies, for example, was awarded the titles of "Champions of Digital Transformation 2021" and "Digital Champion 2022". In addition, the digital customer product portfolio won the "Industry Solutions Award 2023" in the category "Best Smart Manufacturing/Industry 4.0 Solution".


Leadership style and personal interests

I don't have a "fixed" leadership style, because effective leadership has to be very adaptable  from my point of view.  I am guided by the customer context, the mission, possible obstacles and, of course, the team. Sometimes it takes clarity, sometimes freedom for personal responsibility, sometimes coaching and usually "challenging the status quo".

In my free time, I find balance in the mountains, on my racing bike or gardening.
